When you focus on the GOOD the Good gets better

 "Have you ever heard of such a thing?" Milo wanted to know, hoping  War could explain. After all, he'd seen so many things.

"I never heard of such matters," he shook his head, no. After all, he'd been in a war of one kind or another most of his days. "let's not dwell on it."

"But..but.." Milo couldn't help himself to think about what Cha-Cha was capable of conjuring up. Did he have a witch of some sort on his hands? Never did it cross his thoughts that she had this kind of power. Of course, at the moment she'd gone off to bed and hadn't protested in the least.

Cheng ate a good meal of pork and sacked out after what was the last of the rice wine. He was no use at the moment in their living quarters.

"What's worrying you the most?" War smirked. "You think she's got a flame for this childhood friend, is that it?"

"No..no..no," Milo swore it not to be in his thoughts. "It's just a little frightening, you know." He winced hard.

"When have you ever been frightened, old friend?" War was laughing at him.

Milo sighed. Thinking of all the horrible things that had happened to him over the years. It was a wonder he was still here. Then to meet Cha-Cha. Really, he wanted to settle down with her. But it was all so impossible. Yet, he was a wanderer which made him even wonder more. He shook his head, he couldn't explain it. 

"I think he is who he says he is," War could tell him this much. "He will be an asset."

"An asset?" What was War going on about?

"Yes, there will a come a time, that we will have to fight," War told him.

All Milo could do was to hope they could procrastinate just a bit longer. Honestly, he didn't like it. Not in the least bit and yet it felt like a destiny he could not avoid.
